Durins_Father 3137

Durins_Father has a newer deck inspired by this one: "Dinner is served" --Gwahir

NOTE: ÉOWYN SHOULD BE version !!!! The site won't yet publish the deck with the latest version of her. This also means that your threat will be 3 points lower to the level of 28.

It is noted that the Eagles of the Misty Mountains aren't a very welcome race in the lands of Men. They steal lifestock to bring to their eyrie and devour. But what if the men of Rohan decided to hire the vegetarian Eagles to Support them in their battles.

This deck focusses on the attackie-side of Rohan. With the brand new Éowyn hero card these three members of the House of Eorl will work together to overcome all perils that the land can throw at them.

Éowyn will get 5 thanks to Théoden's effect. If a huge quest push is needed and Éowyn didn't trigger her ability against a huge enemy, you could use Grappling Hook or Trained for War to quest with 10 instead. Further questing power can be suppied by Arod on Théoden since Snowmane is not within the sphere.

Éomer is here for one thing and one thing only: Destroying every single enemy in play. Born Aloft can help to trigger his effect. This combined with the nature of the Eagles to pop out of play can help him as well. This also triggers the Horn of Gondor to help pay for all cards in the deck. Speaking of paying for your cards, everyone's favorite Istari is in this deck to help pay for the Eagles as well.

The allies in this deck are mostly Rohirrric allies and the Eagles who have come from their high mountain eyries. I threw i some Knights of the Swan since you can't deny that 3x 3 allies for 3 cost is a very good deal.

Now it is time for the Eagles to supress their thirst for horceblood and settle with orcblood instead.

It's worth noting that Horn of Gondor was recently errata'd. Now it only triggers when an ally is destroyed, (i.e. suffers a damage total greater than or equal to its HP), instead of any time it leaves play, which means Born Aloft no longer helps.

It can still be a good deal if you find you're doing a lot of chump blocking, though. And Born Aloft is a good way to stick a few extra eagles under your Eagles of the Misty Mountains, too.
