Story: Galadriel took the ring from Frodo as he offered it to her freely. Enchanting the sons of Gondor she took over the stewards mantle and now marches with a Gondorian army to Sauron's doorstep.
“Instead of a Dark Lord, you would have a queen, not dark but beautiful and terrible as the dawn! Tempestuous as the sea, and stronger than the foundations of the earth! All shall love me and despair!”
The deck is your classic Gondor swarm, but includes Galadriel to manage your threat which helps a great deal as Gondor struggles to quest out the gate.
You are looking for Steward of Gondor and Visionary Leadership as soon as possible, as of course they make the deck run a lot more smoothly.
I often choose to setup with The Ruling Ring, to avoid early defences, however, The Ring of Power is great if you have Galadriel's ring Nenya but not Unexpected Courage yet.
I often found myself diving in the Mirror of Galadriel for A Very Good Tale.
You might ask what on earth is the Guard of the Citadel doing in this deck, well i have them AND Pelargir Ship Captain as with Boromir and his leadership they get 2 will and 2 attack quite easily and bunch up nicely together.
Would love to hear any thoughts or ideas you might have. Very intrigued about making a Galadriel One Ring deck work well.

Sep 08, 2019That's a brilliant idea, i had not thought of it. Often you quest with Faramir and then his two attack is wasted. Steed of the North would be a great addition. |
Nov 05, 2019I really want to like this deck but I took it to Journey Along the Anduin and got smashed like 8/10 times. |
Nov 05, 2019Ah yeah that's a good point. This deck would definitely struggle with that turn 1 hill troll. I think the difficulty comes down to wanting to throw away cheap allies near the beginning of defence which means the hill troll would just raise your threat a lot. It's probably doable with this deck but with a very lucky hand and ending up with a high threat early game. Sadly You're probably better off choosing a different deck with either a lower starting threat to avoid the troll a bit or bring in a strong defender like Beregond. Alternatively you could swap out Faramir for Denethor so to start with 28 threat giving you a few turns to setup hopefully, if he's in your card pool. |
Nov 05, 2019You may be right but I will definitely be trying this deck against some other scenarios! Haha it’s honestly reassuring to know I’m not just tragically misplaying. I really love the idea of this deck and the amount of effort and detail you put into your description. Keep up the great work! |
Great idea! Did you consider Steed of the North to ready Faramir?
