Play allies for cheap with Hirgon, take a spin on the slot machine with Prince Imrahil, cash in with Horn of Gondor, and swing in for big numbers with Éomer!

The approach for playing this deck is fairly straight forward.

1) Try mulligan for either Horn of Gondor onto Prince Imrahil or Firefoot onto Éomer. If you have both in hand you can do both, but I llike to err on the side of keepinga resource on Immy always so that he can try and pull an ally from the deck in dire scenarios.

2) Try not to hard cast allies for their full price. Most allies in the deck have an ETB, so can work when Hirgon'd into play or slot machined with Imrahil.

3) Do your best to get every ally fished out from Imrahil murdered as efficiently as possible. They're ephemeral anyway, may was well blend them up as fuel for the Horn.

4) If you're getting lucky and you have a surplus of resources thanks to good use of our heroes' abilities, Horn of Gondor or Envoy of Pelargir then start slamming down fat allies in the main phase -as well as- through Hirgon, as he is a once per round affair.

4) Meat shield your way to victory!

A few things to note:

This deck does not quest brilliantly, which can sometimes hurt our ability to trigger Hirgon. It's not a complete slouch like some Tactics decks; Hirgon and Imrahil normally always quest for a guaranteed 4 themselves, but beyond them the burden lies on ol' Grimbold and that's about it. If you're running this solo, consider sideboarding in Trained for War, Pippin or swapping out Éomer for the far less sexy Éowyn if you're struggling for willpower.
