There's a new princess in town and is time to clean out your bike spokes. On this tour, Escort from Edoras and Éomund are three-ofs you'll love be to see in hand. And even in the discard pile they are only a swing of Gúthwinë away.
Updated with the RimgsDb Release of City of Ulfast
Lothiriel and her new Horn of the Mark are the core of this deck, providing willpower, readying, resources(Envoy of Pelargir), as well as consistent card draw.
In my testing, this deck constantly beat Escape from Umbar (2/2), Danger in Dorwinion (3/4), and was 1/3 against River Running.
To provide Lothiriel her key Rohan trait, Éomer comes in strong with essentially base 5 . He will provide the bulk of your killing power. Gúthwinë plus Firefoot will raise him to 9 with "trample." Once in while, you'll even be struck with the true beauty of Quick Strikeing two enemies with one blow. Consider it the player version of surge. Bellisima!
And if you're wondering how to get a sword onto our man, look no further then his sister, core set superstar, Éowyn. She'll even collect a 1 bonus for the privilege of setting up a Reforged.
Defense is a bit more varied in this deck. Quick Strike and Feint provide critical coverage while you prepare more repeatable options. Háma provides ~50% of blocks come mid-game. The rest will come from setting up Éowyn with Golden Shield shield and using Lothiriel'ed Éomund or Westfold Horse-Breaker to ready her post-questing. Round Shield can go on Eowyn or Elfhelm if you need another capable defender, it's also a good secondary target for Reforged.
Finally, to handle threat I've gone with Free to Choose, which you should use early to control engagements, and Favor of the Valar to buy a few extra turns at endgame.
Thanks for reading and happy questing.
