Keep Gildor Inglorion as your starting hero. He quests at 3 and with the Dúnedain Quest possibly 4. You need to get past that first site so you need some initial questing.
With only 14 cards in your 'capture' deck you should get everything you need between the site and first location.
A Good Harvest can help you smooth out resources if you don't get Hirluin the Fair early on.
Resourceful is nice in the is quest as you spend a lot of time in secrecy.
You may want to save a Keen as Lances for after you travel to the final location so you can lower your threat immediately if needed.
