I've played a lot of power decks recently, I wanted to try my hand at something more experimental. This deck is a puzzle (ie, what Netrunner players would call "Shaper bullshit") that needs solving each time.

A couple of cards are concession to theme: Glamdring, for example, is clearly win-more. The White Council proved stronger than anticipated however.

I'm still undecided if the deck really needs the resource smoothing of A Good Harvest and Song of Wisdom. Once Wizard Pipe is in play it's possible to two non-neutral cards each round (one of them neutral). I want to test without them, upping Firyal, Jubayr and Glorfindel to three copies each. That should also make Flame of Anor more consistent.

Does Silver Circlet work with Gandalf, since he technically isn't a spirit hero?

Is there any reason to play Silver Circlet before Celebrían's Stone in this deck?
With Narya, Gandalf can play the latter without being on top of the deck.

While Celebrían's Stone can be played with Narya, it's uniqueness prevents it from being played using the contract's passive ability. An argument can be made for both, I think.

I don't think that you can play Silver Circlet on Gandalf even when you play it off the top of your deck. Despite having the Spirit resource icon "When playing a card this way, Gandalf is considered to have the printed leadership lore tactics and spirit icons". This means that you can use his resources to pay for any of those sphere's cards, not that he becomes a leadership, lore, tactics, and spirit hero all at once when playing the top card of his deck.

@Aljeron My interpretation when the card entered play it checked if the hero it was attached to was spirit, and since and that instant Gandalf had a spirit icon it could attached successfully. I might be mistaken, and if so substituting Celebrian's Stone would solve the problem.

You can definitely play Silver Circlet on Gandalf when you play it from the top of your deck. You can also, for example, put a burning brand on Gandalf when played from the deck. For the duration of playing that card from the top of your deck, Gandalf has all printed sphere icons, so that would also let him fulfill any sphere icon requirements during the actual playing of the card.

Just to be clear, Silver Circlet also still gives its effect even with Celebrían's Stone.
