I love a Gandalf deck, and this -focused deck looks like a lot of fun.

Could I ask a few questions:

  • Given that Gandalf can use his resources when Allies are recruited from the top of the deck, is Song of Wisdom worth the deck space to get Gandalf into sphere? I suppose if you really want A Burning Brand on Gandalf I can understand. I am wondering if Wizard Pipe is better use of space, as it not only allows you to put Allies on top of the deck before you recruit them, but also set up Flame of Anor with a card from your hand.
  • I am curious about the single copy of Gandalf's Search. I love to see this card used (especially since it is a widely disliked card), but I'm not sure what purpose it is serving in the deck. If you are in need of an extra tutor card, would Gather Information not be better use of deck space?
  • Do you find that Aragorn's once-per-game ability is enough threat control considering the high starting threat?

would ever put at least 1 pipe in in gandalf-decks. if nothing else it is cardsdraw (change, play from top 1 card won)

the setback from aragorn is not much if you start with 39. i supose to use either the soon to come contract ringsdb.com or put in some favour of the valar or keen as lances or this ringsdb.com

if you use the pipe, song of wisdom is not needed to give gandalf the torch. put with pipe on top and you can play it on gandalf, because he has loresymbole while u play it.

so, at all it makes not this much sense for loragorn. put in some more traps and take damrod (traps and carddraw) or an elf (lembas) and you have more benefits. if you use aragorn i would also use some of his special items.
