I've had a play around with Sparagorn and I've found a great card-draw loop on Solo Journey Along the Anduin using his ability alongside Steed of Imladris and Elven-light to exploit the Banks of the Anduin. When this location is revealed during the questing, we can use Aragorn's ability to place 1 progress on it, then travel to it. During the next quest phase, we can then discard Elven-light to Steed of Imladris in order to place 2 progress to explore the location, which sends it to the top of the encounter deck to be immediately revealed again. We can then spend a resource to pull Elven-light back to our hand and draw a card. Then it's just rinse and repeat every round until we draw our whole deck before the hill troll even sniffs that we are anywhere near. Arwen's resource generation helps us to pay for plenty of threat reduction to keep us out of combat and she also gives us access to free threat reduction via Elrond's Counsel as she has the Noldor trait. The plan is to get into secrecy asap, so we can get 3 copies of Resourceful out to help pay for everything a lot faster and boost Aragorn's with Blood of Númenor. Of course, this loop only works if you can find the location first, so I've included 3 copies of Dunedain Pathfinder to try and speed up the process. Westfold Horse-breeder is to pull out the Steed and Bilbo Baggins is there to pull out the Spare Pipes in order to ensure we get our Elven-lights out fairly quickly too. All of the allies can be used as chumps against enemies with lower engagement costs as any loss of will be made up by Strider and we want Bilbo coming into play a few times to retrieve our pipes. Aragorn and Arwen should be able to deal with most weaker enemies. Obviously, there is very little in this deck, so we are relying on Blood of Númenor to ensure Aragorn survives attacks from the Hill Troll. By the time it engages us, Aragorn will probably have 20+ resources on him. On the counter-punch, you can knock out a troll in a couple of combats using Fair and Perilous and Tale of Tinúviel, and there's always O Elbereth! Gilthonial! if we are in a tight spot due to some poor drawing.
I've not tried the loop in multiplayer, but it would basically mean there is 1 card less being revealed during staging which is never a bad thing, so as long as the other decks can deal with any nasties that might appear, it should still work pretty effectively, though they're going to need their own threat reduction to prevent the hill troll engaging them before Aragorn is ready to defend with Sentinel.
