Note: It takes some time to set up the combo and get the deck running. Any pairing with a deck that can let you draw cards is extremely helpful.
Play Steward of Gondor, Necklace of Girion and Song of Wisdom on Bard.
Attach The Elvenking and two copies of Mirkwood Long-knife to Legolas.
Let Faramir quest each round and ready him with Legolas‘ response by ditching Elven-light.
Attach Spare Hood and Cloak to Galion.
Anytime you have six resources:
- play Gandalf and make use of his ability
- attach Elf-friend to him
- send him to quest
- ready him with Faramir‘s response after engaging an enemy
- let him soak up some archery damage
- let him defend an attack
- ready him with Galion and Spare Hood and Cloak or with To Arms!
- let him defend another attack or let him fight back
- take him back to your hand with the action of The Elvenking and return all of his attachments to your hand either (thanks to Bard‘s response)
- this readies Legolas and he can fight back
For only four resources you can also play Elrond and use him the same way, if Bard has the Song of Wisdom attached.
