Fantasty 2288

Fantasty has a newer deck inspired by this one: Many Meetings

Many Meetings

This is a fun thematic take on the well known Elrond + Gandalf deck. Joining them is a merry band of travelers, who all meet each other in Rivendell. Chief among them is of course Bilbo Baggins, who is our third hero. He guarantees Gandalf shan't have to go a single turn without his Wizard Pipe. In addition, he gives us access to , provides some early and only contributes 4 threat to offset Elrond and Gandalf's high cost.

The allies consist of the other travelers, adventurers and residents. Some, like Boromir, Legolas and Gimli have traveled far. Others, such as Elladan and Elrohir, have returned after a long campaign tracking Orcs in nearby lands. Accompanying them are some of their Dúnedain kin: Northern Tracker, Misty Mountain Journeyman and Northern Bowmaster. All are greeted with a warm welcome by Elrond and the others who dwell in Rivendell: Arwen Undómiel, Erestor, Glorfindel, Galdor of the Havens and Gildor Inglorion.

(Let's not talk about what Warden of Healing is doing there.)

While most allies are expensive and meant to be played through Vilya, I also decided to include Misty Mountain Journeyman and Northern Bowmaster to get through the early game. The attachments are focused mainly on readying (Light of Valinor, Shadowfax, Unexpected Courage) so we can freely use Vilya. Gandalf's Staff and Narya provide additional support. The events are basically all staples.

I've used the sideboard to highlight some other options that could be worthwhile. In multiplayer, just swap out any unique allies that clash with your partner decks and replace them with some others (or the Erebor Toymaker). In the end, it doesn't really matter which allies you run, but this was for me the most thematic line-up.
