This deck leverages Marcelf's excellent Barilman and Robin deck as a basis because it can recur Risk Some Light for several turns. Added Scout Ahead and Out of the Wild to add Fram's Shade to the victory display before Stage 3.

Basic plan is to get set up with the Resourceful and Love of Tales resource acceleration package. Then Use Risk Some Light to set up Scout Ahead or Out of the Wild to add Fram's Shade to the victory display during Stage 1 or 2. It helps to keep track of how many times you Risk Some Light. I managed to keep Scout Ahead and an Out of the Wild ready then when there were about 10 cards above ones I added to the bottom. Then I completed Scout Ahead and hit Fram's Shade. If that hadn't found him then, I had Out of the Wild to find him in the last 5.

Once Fram's Shade is in the victory display, you can just quest to find the 2 loot and breeze through stage 3.

This deck beat Ghost of Framsburg on the first attempt in only 11 turns. The amount of control you have over what is revealed makes sure you don't spend 40+ turns playing this quest.

Who do you plan to Sword-thain?

May 03, 2021 kattattack22 791

@GreenWizard I used it on Quickbeam because he was already in play, and I had used all The Shirefolk already. At that point, it doesn't really matter who gets Sword-thain. The main thing is having 4 heroes with the Lore icon that Scroll of Isildur is free, and you're getting an additional resource per turn. If all The Shirefolk haven't been played Robin Smallburrow should be the primary target.

would add 2-3 Song of Healing for ressoursegeneration with Love of Tales

would add 1 Treebeard

would discard 1-3 Ithilien Lookout

@doomguard Ithilien Lookouts give the deck another way to possibly get through the encounter deck faster since it can discard an enemy from the top. It also is safe from discarding Fram's Shade since it says "may discard." Plus, they're cheap attack power and worked well for fighting the other undead enemies.

Gildor, Mablung, and Henamarth could probably be replaced instead. They're alright but don't further getting through the encounter deck like the lookouts.

if you put in Treebeard i think u do not need that fightingpower of them. the discarding is not bad, but i think of that deck not only for the specific szenario, and then it is more flexible with treebeard, i think.

I believe Marcelf's earlier versions of Barliman and Robin had Treebeard, but eventually he cut it. I'd highly recommend checking out his original decklists for more generalized versions.

thanks @kattattack22I just found out about this deck ^^ @doomguardsong of healing is situational it's better to reccur Drinking Song with Scrolls. I found Treebeard too slow for the deck.

Thanks @Marcelf for recommending your Barliman and Robin deck long ago. It gave me a really good framework to cheese Ghost of Framsburg. Grant also managed to use this variant on Wandering Took's Monday livestream a few weeks ago.
