Thematic Saga Series: Deck 5

Flight to the Ford

Series Overview

Welcome to the Thematic Saga Series, where I will be taking the most thematic decks possible against a modified Saga Campaign, on DragnCards. Here are the rules for this Campaign:

1: Your decks must be as accurate as possible to the books. So in A Shadow of the Past's case, because it takes place in the Shire, I will only be using Hobbit allies.

2: I am allowed to change heroes to fit the theme and I will not be incurring the +1 threat penalty while swapping heroes this way. For example, if I used an ally version of Legolas or Gimli in The Breaking of the Fellowship, I could swap heroes so I can us them as heroes in The Uruk-Hai.

I follow the rest of the rules for a standard Campaign.

The Theme

Well, of course I had to go with Glorfindel, and of course it had to be Glorfindel.

Game Notes

There wasn't a lot of interesting stuff going on with this game. I got Light of Valinor on Glorfindel round 2, and I drew Pippin and Merry in my starting hand, and played them rounds 1 and 2, respectively. I got Hobbit Cloak and DĂșnedain Warning on Sam by the end of the game. No [Daggers(/card/141014) came out, and neither did Rivendell Blade. only had to fight one two Riders and the Witch King, and the Witch King and one of the Riders were discarded by The Ford.

My score was 97:

25 Threat,

7 Rounds,

8 Victory Points.

Boons Earned: None.

Burdens Earned: Eaten Alive!

Hope you enjoy, and await the great Fellowship's departure in the next scenario!
