I wanted to try and make a thematic fellowship deck using the contract with only characters who actually made up the initial fellowship in the books and have it be a deck that could actually be playable. This is my first attempt.
I would love to see what other people come up with. Comments and suggestions are much appreciated. My stipulations while creating the deck: only characters who made up the fellowship could be added to the deck and you had to include The One Ring.

Jun 03, 2022Thanks for the suggesting! We Are Not Idle was really just for card draw. I really like the Steed of the North idea and Sword that was Broken. Not sure how I missed the latter when making it! |

Jun 06, 2022Thanks for commenting! I think adding in Bill the Pony is probably a necessity to help flip the contract sooner. I have toyed around with making Gandalf a hero because my version is severely lacking early game. |
Dangit it's too bad you can't add in Bill the Pony!! :) also, why is We Are Not Idle in here? Is that a proxy?
This deck looks pretty strong! I would cut Pillars of the Kings because it doesn't really work with the rest of your deck which is all about optionally engaging enemies. You could possibly add in Steed of the North so that you can quest Aragorn, ready him with Steed of the North when you engage an enemy, then use Roheryn to attack. If you decide to make Sam a defender, then obviously you'll need Hobbit Cloak and maybe Staff of Lebethron, but you don't have to do that. Also, put in Sword that was Broken!!! Super thematic, and very powerful!
Also, last thing, I would put in another hero in the sideboard so you can play Saga quests, and flip your contact quicker (B/c you will control a Frodo ) Maybe Gimli, or even Gandalf? up to you
