the original council of the wise appear!
is it playable? startingthread of 36, and saruman so only reduce by 1 at a time? gandalf without elrond, not a waste? staffs and rings only once?
i think it is:

57 cards, yes, but you can relatevely easy have a round with 5 cards (1 default, 1 by galadriel 1 by contract, then either played 1-2 by gandalf and his ability, or 1 with a staff, or 1 by Expert Treasure-hunter. if you draw the Zigil Miner, then you will be lucky to have so many cards.

the costs are relatevely cheap considering you want to play up to 5 cards a round.
gaming advice:
- mulligan for a staff or the Wizard Pipe or Bilbo Baggins
- thread should be lowered 2 times by 1 each round (1 galadriel and 1 by contract)
- try to play as much events as possible withh gandalfs ability
- because you can only have 1 courage and 1 shadowfax, there are Lembas and Miruvor for more actions
- attacks up to 3 or 4 take with gandalf, higher ones chump
- Westfold Horse-breeder can search for Shadowfax or Asfaloth (Asfaloth can go to Galadriel or if a mate has glorfindel, there
- if gandalf has Protector of Lórien he can defend higher attacks
- remove nasty attachements with Power of Orthanc or Miner of the Iron Hills
- zigil is good with gandalfs ability alone, but together with Imladris Stargazer he and good use of gandalfs ability is increased
- Favor of the Valar and Keen as Lances are emergency options
the deck neeeds no specific card to work, but many cards are very usefull. biggest flaw is, you take so many good heroes so others at the table cannot use them, or you cannot make a fellowship with them and this deck.
