This is the first Noldor deck I've played, and honestly, it's just a Veteran Sword Elf deck, like others that have come before. While building this, I was aiming to take it through the Dream-chaser cycle, so my focus was on the sailors and, since the Aubrey-Maturin novel series is among my favorites, that's where my head went, and hence, the name (Master & Commander)!
It's important to get Light of Valinor and To the Sea, to the Sea! quickly. There's pretty decent questing in the crew with the Eregion Survivor, Sailor of Lune, Rivendell Minstrel, and the uniques with strong willpower in general.
Cirdan gets the Light of Valinor, since you also need him ready for Narya. This will primarily be done for the combat folks. There's little for Galdor's resources to do once you're set up, so he's a good target for a Song of Battle, but I also usually throw one on Arwen, too.
The Marines, so to speak, are Elladan, Elrohir, and the Veteran Sword-elf. You can get these allies buffed up with Elven Mail, Cloak of Lórien, which awesomely isn't Restricted, and Rivendell Blade. So you've got a good armory for them!
Even though you have Cirdan and Galdor's abilities, I still wanted to throw in Daeron's Runes for more card draw so you can get to the end of recycling Lords of the Eldar faster!
