Carder89 has a newer deck inspired by this one: Beravor Necessities tDM
This deck is mostly there to draw cards, heal with some location control.
The latter is in the form of both Secret Paths and Strider's Path to quickly get through the locations coming from the encounter deck.
There some new toys, like Gildor Inglorion and Gildor's Counsel, but they are not really nessecary to complete this quest.
I switched out Legolas for Thalin to completely nullify the Eastern Crows in the encounter deck. You can put an Unexpected Courage from another deck on him and give him a Dwarven Axe to make him a decent attacker, though again that is not really nessecary, just fun to do.
Denethor can defend if required, but more importantly he can find the locations you need to complete the quest.
