In this series I am trying to use as many thematic cards as possible as I play the Lord of the Rings Saga quests in order, in a modified campaign mode. The modification is that I will not be raising my threat if I swap heroes in-between quests.
This is it, the end of the official campaign! Sam Gamgee and Frodo Baggins are crossing the plains of Mordor, Mt. Doom is within sight. Wearing an Orc Disguise to shield themselves from unfriendly eyes. These two Friend of Friends must rely on each other to make it to the end. Thoughts of home, memories of Songs, and innate Hobbit-sense is all they have to use to complete the quest. With all the hopes and love of their friends aiding their , they push through to the very cracks of doom. But, will Frodo be able to overcome the temptation of The One Ring in the end?
This is yet another The Grey Wanderer Sam deck. The only allies are Rosie and Master of the Forge to find all the attachments you need. Dig Strider out with the ability on the contract. Try your hardest to clear stage 1 as fast as possible. Prioritize over attack because you have very limited time to make it to the end. Sam needs a lot of readying to handle Fortitude tests (he should have double digit ).
I played this quest and The Black Gate on Easy Mode to give myself a chance to win, it was still very close to failure and amazingly epic.
