I made this deck because I wanted to toy around with building something with Thorin Oakenshield but didn't want it to just be a typical Dwarf deck (because then i would feel bad without Dáin Ironfoot). It seemed fun to try to take advantage of the early free resource gain and extra card draw from Ori. My thought is that getting 4 resources a turn and 2 cards which mostly cost 2 or less would allow you to constantly have things to play and get ahead. I've included many of the efficient questers and some attackers.

How to play: The goal is to mulligan and find 1/9 of Erebor Record Keeper Ered Nimrais Prospector Miner of the Iron Hills which you can play turn turn 1. If you don't get one of these in your hand or on the mulligan, you should have hit some other card draw you can use to try to get one.

Bombur will be your defender and can take early hits. Dwarven Shield is great because he has the hitpoints to take some damage and the extra resource can be used for Erebor Record Keeper to ready thorin after questing if you need the attack. Diligent Noble was included to give the option to put Ancestral Armor on him and that Diligent Noble replaces itself. Not sure if I'm sold on the need for that and maybe adding Dúnedain Mark and the last Dúnedain Warning would be better but I will have to test more.

You can start off questing for 5-6 with Thorin Oakenshield, Ori and hopefully 1 of your lore dwarves. After turn 1, you should be getting consistent 2 allies that you can play 1-2 of each turn.

Thorin Oakenshield + Loyal Hound + Quickbeam + Miner of the Iron Hills can add up to enough attack to take out enemies or chip away at big ones while Bombur defends and gets healed up by Warden of Healing.

This is also built to be played multiplayer (e.g. Dúnedain Signal for bombur to help defend around the table) so things like Campfire Tales and Heed the Dreamcan be used to help the group find the things they need since you should hit your initial combo turn 1. For solo i would replace Dúnedain Signal with Dúnedain Mark for more attack for Thorin Oakenshield.

The sideboard includes a bunch of other things i thought about testing but haven't gotten around to such as all the "mining" cards.

Give it a shot and let me know what you think!

without more readying, imo you do not need Dúnedain Signal

if includin Armored Destrier then it makes sense, else i would replace them

i would include Legacy of Durin 3 cards per round is better than 2 ^^

@doomguard i think of the Erebor Record Keepers as a way to do the readying to take advantage of the sentinel. I also like the decision point that they add of should I pay for another ally or keep the resources for some extra readying effects? I like the idea of Armored Destrier maybe to replace the diligent noble/ancestral armors. That would also free up slots for the Legacy of Durin as well which could help hit them faster. I'll have to give it some testing!

Thanks for taking the time to comment!
