(Using cards up to Against the Shadow since that's as far as I've progressed through the game.)
Built to be more thematic than powerful, I've found that this deck can nevertheless be competitive in most quests. It's partner to the Guardians of Eriador deck and together they represent the peoples around Rivendell (aka The Last Homely House).
When deck building from such a big card pool I find it can be a refreshing challenge to try to stick within parameters of some theme. This deck mostly manages to stick to Noldor and Dunedain who would be connected to Rivendell through Aragorn. I justify Beravor's inclusion on this basis. There are a few thematic concessions here, such as Daughter of the Nimrodel (Silvan) and Beorn (who never visited Rivendell as far as I know but lives in the neighbourhood).
In terms of gameplay, this deck pulls the weight of questing. Obviously the key card is Vilya on Elrond and Master of the Forge helps towards this end so one of these pieces is a must for the opening hand.
Song of Wisdom can facilitate playing A Burning Brand across the table and Song of Battle can get you resources just in case you miss Support of the Eagles with Vilya. With no thematic resource generation available, Miruvor can be used to help get them where they are most needed - once Elrond has his ring attached, resources should be quite plentiful.
If looking to make a more powerful version, extra chunky (but less thematic) allies could be added to get best return from Vilya. Cards from later packs will keep the theme as well as increasing the playability of these decks - heroes Erestor and Arwen Undómiel stand out but I'm sure there are plenty more. I look forward to updating this after I've played through a few more cycles.
