Premise
One of the strongest deck I found to handle enemies in the repackaged content. The idea here is pretty simple - you use your low engagement cost (if possible tablewide) to only engage one enemy during the encounter phase. You kill that enemy with Merry and Aragorn, engaging a new enemy through Aragorn's ability and readying Merry with Rohan Warhorse or Magic Ring. Merry in turn readies Aragorn through his ability. You rinse and repeat that combo until you have hopefully cleared the board of any enemies. Pippin quests draws you a card for (almost) every engagement, resulting in quite a strong draw engine.
How To Play
I mulligan for all the readying attachments I can get for Merry. Having one of your 4 Warhorses/Magic Ring is good, seeing more than one is even better. Those readying cards then go onto Merry, with Aragorn receiving the weapons. The first enemy (which you will have to defend) to get the combo going can be dealt with by Gaffer Gamgee (who can be fetched in time with Raise the Shire), Feint, Defender of Rammas or a sentinel blocker.
Considerations
Déorwine, Ranger of Cardolan and Derndingle Warrior are other defensive options if yours are not sufficient. Gléowine and Leather Boots become very attractive prospects in 3-/4-player-games
