EAGLES on live :D
Mablung in place of Hirgon for the tactics punchline, and the resources flow in the combat stage. Trying this lineup to defeat "Escape from Dol Guldur - NIGHTMARE".... and it is a nightmare indeed
Any help or hint? (i'm missing Ered Mithrim, Harad and Mordor cycle) Thank you!

Apr 02, 2024it "might" be possible if much put into play can be played around the only 1-ally-played per round restriction. (Hirgon ability does NOT allow to play an additional eagle it is "play" so the restriction of the szenario counts.) that means imo use all the tools:
perhaps Thengel is an option, to make double-use of discarding eagles. Denethor gives additional startboost and acces to ld. Gwaihir to have at least 1 eagle-hero (and with the goal to get 1-3 eagle into play each round it is a good hero) but then every captured hurts. replace Thengel with Glorfindel or merry and let him captured might be more efficient. then Strider can be used.... i would think you will not be able to make it consistency, but perhaps a winrate abut 10-20 %? |
To be honest, I am not sure that the eagle archetype is strong enough to beat nightmare Dol Guldur with any remote resemblance of consistency, even with fan card support. I would consider replacing one of the heroes with a lower-threat option, and choosing that hero to be captured rather than randomly. Then, you can just triple the number of attempts it takes you. That will give you a lower threat and allow the deck to be optimized for the scenario. Regardless, it will still be tough.
