This deck is designed to maximize the "enters play" effects of Silvan allies through tactics Prince Imrahil's ability.
Basic Strategy: Mulligan for elf-friend and Nenya. Access to Lore is crucial in order to play Silvan Trackers from hand. After Elf-friend is on Imrahil, you should use his ability every turn starting on turn 1, while a second copy on Galadriel activates Silvan Tracker's healing ability so that all of your exhausted characters (except Elrond and Gildor) heal three damage at the end of each round. Elrond is included for repeatable condition removal and combat phase healing (elf-friend on Prince Imrahil makes Noldor characters a target of his ability, and Elrond functions as an excellent defender), while Galadrim Healer keeps your heroes alive until you have drawn and played Silvan Trackers.
The rest of the attachments go to Galadriel, except for Light of Valinor, which allows Celeborn to quest for free each round. Steward of Gondor goes on Galadriel to pay for two spheres, Prince Imrahil's resource is used to activate his ability each round, and Celeborn's resources are used to (re)cycle the three copies of Orophin from the discard pile (he makes for a repeatable chump blocker that can quest for 3 for free almost every round if you include resource generation for Celeborn).
Event cards could be used to recycle the discard pile, but Prince Imrahil's ability can re-use Galadhrim Weaver to free up card space. Gildor's ability can be used to set up specific combinations with Imrahil's ability.

Mar 24, 2017Thank you! I am still playtesting and tweaking it. I am having trouble with a lack of treachery cancellation, particularly those treacheries that target heroes' resources. So a revised version may be coming soon. |
Mar 28, 2017I love Silvan decks and I love your deck idea! In fact I have created a similar deck with and without Prince Imrahil. I would recommend Stand and Fight and A Test of Will. I feel like Will of the West and Dwarven Tomb are overkill when you have the Galadhrim Weaver. Also, since Imrahil's ability triggers in the combat phase only, I typically like to have more attack based allies to deal with enemies. I feel like Orophin would be good to have two of instead because you don't necessarily want to see him in your starting hand or to see him super often from Imrahil's ability. Also, all the side quests seem unnecessary, yes they give you certain cards, or lower your threat, but they take away quest points that could be put on the quest you are trying to complete. Just my two cents. If you want to maximize the silvan abilities, I feel like adding Feigned Voices might be a good idea. This will keep an ally from being chumped, and at the same time allow that ally to be played from hand again. Island Amid Perils would be useful as well. Any of these cards: Island Amid Perils, Feigned Voices, and The Tree People are great because you can use them to pull an ally back to your hand after it has been played by Prince Imrahil's ability instead of reshuffling it back into your deck. If you want some more ideas for silvan decks I invite you to look at some of my published decks. |
That's a pretty neat idea!
