Warden of Arnor 5911
I remember well the splendour of their banners. It recalled to me the glory of the Elder Days...
A Noldor-based combat deck. The problem with Watcher of the Bruinen has always been his low /, which is amply solved by Raiment of War. Raiment can also go well on Guardian of Rivendell or Veteran Sword-elf, as can Elven Mail, Rivendell Bow and Rivendell Blade, with the latter two also offering great offensive power on a Trollshaw Scout. Between the allies who don't exhaust, and Narya to ready the ones who do, you don't need many characters to do a lot of damage once you have the attachments as well. Which is fortunate because you'll probably end up discarding some of your spare copies.
You'll note that despite being predominantly this deck has two heroes - this works partly because of Mablung's resource generation, partly because you're expecting to discard some of the cards rather than playing all of them, partly because the allies can all be cheapened with To the Sea, to the Sea!, and partly because having more resources let's you keep Elven-light going as much as possible, which is crucial both for providing draw and for funding the all-important discard effects.

Apr 29, 2017I didn't really think about that while building it, but quite possibly, actually. It has good for a combat deck, obviously you wouldn't need to worry about Sentinel/Ranged so more room for other things, it could certainly be worth trying out. |

Apr 30, 2017I haven't had issues so far. Mostly I just discard Elven-light over and over again (easy enough since there's little else to spend my resources on), but since I have 3 copies of all the important cards it's easy enough to cope with losing a copy or two even of the non-unique ones. |
Would this work in solo with a few modifications?
