Been seeing a lot of questions lately about making thematic decks for the Sagas, particularly the first half of Fellowship. The Hobbits deck for those scenarios is pretty self explanatory, but when branching out to 2 or more players, that gets trickier.

Most people I've seen gravitate to a Dunedain deck, since Aragorn is involved and they're seen as the North realms' guardians. However, they soon find that the enemies you encounter in these scenarios are not ideal for the "keep engaged" style of Dunedain, not to mention all the ally hate that feels particularly bad given their mostly high costs.

Enter everyone's favorite, Forth, The Three Hunters!. This allows us to play our favorite Dunedain characters, perhaps even more thematically, as a small band of efficient bodyguards.

This deck is designed to be played as part of a larger fellowship, it would not work well solo at all.

Beravor is extremely key to this deck and I'd use her for card draw the first couple rounds if necessary, until you've drawn enough restricted attachments.

Halbarad is chosen as our defender, and Aragorn our attacker, but most of the attachments don't have limitations so to grant the flexibility necessary to flip the contract.

One of the most important cards in the deck ends up being Steed of the North to give us some extra actions when we need them.

Otherwise the other cards there are for fellowship-wide support or theme. Athelas for healing/condition removal (especially if playing the PoDs). Explorer's Almanac helps with location lock especially in the first scenario. Tireless Hunters for Bill Ferny or to drag a Nazgul off a still vulnerable Hobbit player.

By the end of the game you'll be doing most of the work for the party - questing for absurd amounts, taking all their enemies, and killing them pretty easily.

The deck isn't the most #RCO friendly but it's close... Proxying Three Hunters isn't the worst thing, Dunedain Warnings and Steed of the North are big misses though, Sword that Was Broken too since it helps the resource imbalance. Extra Celebrian's Stones are probably in order, maybe even something cheeky like Ranger Summons.

Enjoy!
