This deck is meant to be played as a fellowship with the corresponding companions deck.
If Resourceful shows up in your opening hand, it is worth adding that to Sam Gamgee, otherwise, only play it if you somehow have a bunch of excess resources.
Armored Destrier is here to be played on Sam Gamgee. If Aragorn is struggling to get a readying card attached to him, then we can also play the second copy there.
Some of the allies are useful to have for the last stage of the game when the Watcher is in play. They can chump block until the game can be defeated. It's also a good use for Feint if you haven't used them all up earlier in the game. Mirkwood Explorer is extremely useful to get progress on locations in the staging area before they get damage tokens on them. Arod can also do this if attached to Merry.
