This deck is paired with the deck Thurindir Doubles Back, which you can get to via the fellowship, and is meant as a questing and weapons provider so that Dunhere can ravage the staging area at will. Its main function is to immediately have 8 willpower to contribute to Double Back, the first side quest that Thurindir pulls, and shortly thereafter put a Spear of the Mark on Dunhere so he can start killing enemies in the staging area. But it does a lot more than that.
This deck has four side quests in it, the same amount as the other deck, and has all the side quest shenaniganry to go along with it. Halfling Bounder, Rider of Rohan, and The Road Goes Ever On all give benefits for clearing or having cleared side quests. The Road Goes Ever On can help either deck get a side quest they need such as Gather Information or Scout Ahead. But the deck's shenaniganry is not limited to side quests.
Lore Faramir gets a lot of hate, but in this deck he isn't half bad. Give him a Great Yew Bow and he can plug away at enemies in the staging area just as well as Dunhere, and he gets boosted for each one in the staging area, so he can be a potent attacker even without the aid of weapons. If you can't find your bow immediately, his two willpower means that he will be contributing in some fashion no matter what, and his two defense means that even if you are forced to engage something, you aren't helpless.
The rest of the deck is just card draw, threat reduction, and willpower to insure that your threat will never exceed the engagement costs of the enemies in the staging area. While Merry is your main threat reducer, The Galadhrim's Greeting and Secret Vigil can also help reduce your threat (and, of course, Double Back). Since so many quest cards will be leaving play, The Long Defeat is a good choice for card draw, and Gléowine and Master of the Forge are more all-purpose but still amazing.
Enjoy the deck!
Cool fellowship! Though Spear of the Mark can't go on Faramir, as he isn't Rohan.
