This is a somewhat gimmicky deck inspired by the Quest of the Week challenge to complete Scouring of the Shire with Grima as a hero. In an alternate version of the story, perhaps "Master Wormtongue" (as Treebeard referred to him) stayed behind in Isengard and was persuaded by the Ents to repent of his ways. Subsequently, he would have led them to the Shire to thwart Sharkey's scheme (and perhaps to search for any sign of the Entwives). Imagine the surprise on Saruman's face when his old spy turned up with a horde of angry Ents and Hobbits to cleanse the Shire from his schemes!
Gameplay is relatively straightforward. Pull Strider w/The Grey Wanderer and look for Resourceful and some form of card draw (Timely Aid, Entmoot, Daeron's Runes) in your opening hand. Keep your threat low and quest with GrĂma and Frodo Baggins (equipped with Star-like Gem) as you slowly build up a board of allies. The Ents may not be hasty, but they do pack a punch once they are roused. The Hobbit allies are mostly present for thematic reasons and Ioreth is a concession based on the need to constantly maintain the heroes' low .
In my one attempt, I was able to quest for enough to manage the Shirriffs, muster enough Ents to soak up Ruffian attacks, and rouse enough Hobbits to win the quest. In short, I had fun with this deck, and so I offer it as my contribution to the final saga Quest of the Week.
