This is my take on a Bard the Bowman deck. I use eagles to build his attack power to snipe all but the heaviest enemies from the staging area. With an Unexpected Courage he can double down on the bow work. Early game if you don't draw Light of Valinor you can't quest with Bard and Attack with Glorfindel, though that is not optimal. Frodo Baggins super defense seems counterintuitive but with threat reduction you should be ok to take a few hits. Once Frodo has on a Ring Mail or two and Arwen Undómiel blessing, he's a solid defender and you will rarely have the threat increase. It works both solo and in multiplayer.

Jul 28, 2017The lack of a third Great Yew Bow was an oversight, thanks for telling me. I think I could drop 1 Bofur to put in that third bow I had debated 3 Resourceful in the deck to offset the cost. it's easy to hit secrecy in this deck so the payoff if immediate. |
Jul 28, 2017Glad the feedback was helpful. Your deck has inspired me to give Bard the Bowman + Great Yew Bow a crack. Cheers! |
Nice deck! I like Bard the Bowman, just wish I found more excuses to play with him. Since Great Yew Bow is such an important piece for you deck, weren't you tempted to put a third in?
Does the deck have trouble paying for all those red cards?
