Niuetron 16
As I have tried to fit Boromir in a deck, I felt I was missing some initial and any combination I tried lead to nothing really competitive. Try this deck if you wanna have a lot of powered allies on the table to crush them all.
I built this deck trying to cover the main problems that, IMO, a deck usually have:
-
Lack of drawing cards : Covered with Círdan the Shipwright, Silver Harp and Will of the West
-
lack of willpower :Círdan the Shipwright provides initially 4, 5 full equipe, and (MotK) Ingold is key in this aspect, with his 3/4 while having some resources on the heros.
-
Initial threat: Boromir is high enough to add heroes who could cover the other two principal points. It is precisely at this point where (MotK) Ingold also is key, providing only 5 , against his 3/4 , his 3 and the fact he belows to the sphere, make him the perfect partner to cover all Boromir weaknesses.
Mulligan will be always looking for Narya and from there you should look for Ancestral Armor and Visionary Leadership on Boromir and Steward of Gondor and Unexpected Courage on Cirdan.
With Círdan the Shipwright and Narya you can have two allies questing/defending and attacking on the same round. Boromir will provide the +1 to and that will be determinant in the end, having an amazing threat control.
One Ancestral Armor I would use it always on Boromir, as it can save you from a nasty shadow effect, the other two is up to you and depending on how the game goes.
Enjoy.
