Premise
My preferred Eagle deck for solo play. Eagles are often able to handle combat on their own, having extremely high combat stats and being easily fetchable through the amazing The Eagles Are Coming!. Their two main drawbacks (especially in solo) are their high resource cost and their terrible questing. This deck devotes most of its deckspace outside of the Eagle engine to fix that, having generally high willpower starting heroes alongside the very impactful Power of Command where willpower is concerned, with cards like Radagast's Staff, Steward of Gondor or Legacy of Númenor providing enough fuel for your winged army.
How To Play
I usually try to see either Steward of Gondor or Radagast's Staff (preferably both) in my opening hand. Getting them going quickly is often the key to achieving victory, with resources being the number one thing holding this deck back. If you get your engine going in time, you can usually keep a lid on questing with your heroes/Power of Command until the Eagles can take over the game, with Gandalf being always great value when combined with Sneak Attack/Horns! Horns! Horns!.
Considerations
Faramir can be a nice replacement for Power of Command in saga quests, where he is also then a good candidate to be your Messenger of the King. Gwaihir's Debt is amazing to include, especially when combining it with Wizard Pipe. Those combos are really nothing to sneeze at and would have made the deck were it not for the extremely competitive 50 other cards.
