My variation on the "big allies", combat-focused Hobbit build, which uses Elf-stone and Sneak Attack to get the big guys into play.
This deck archetype benefits from optionally engaging enemies with a higher engagement cost than the current threat.
- Merry is the main attacker.
- Sam Gamgee is the main defender and quester.
- Pippin supports with card draw and questing.
With a couple of Fast Hitch in play, all three heroes can contribute adequately to questing.
Strategy
Dagger of Westernesse on Merry (Bofur can help fetch it).
Fast Hitch is prioritized to go on Merry or Sam Gamgee first.
Look out for the Merry/Beorn/Sneak Attack combo.
