This deck has a special protagonist: the unique friendship of Gimli and Legolas (Erestor could be just reading a book about it in Valinor sometime after the end of the Third Age).
As most of the cards used here are at 0 cost, you will use almost every card before you discard them at the end of the round, and that only if you still don't have any copies of Protector of Lórien or Elven Spear on the table, because if you do, you won't wait until the end of the round, you will discard them to get extra , or .
As you can see, Henamarth Riversong is the only ally in the deck, it is cheap and you will know always which card comes out of the encounter deck each round, and if it has surge on it, well, just hope for the best :)
Start for a mulligan to get Song of Battle and play it on Erestor, Legolas and Gimli (in that order) so you can get the resource. I don't like to depend so much on one single card but it was the only way to make this thematic deck. Once you do this you will aim to play every single card in your hand before the end of the round.
With Unlikely Friendship, Daeron's Runes and Elven-light you will have some extra drawing per turn. Elrond's Counsel and Well Warned will decrease your threat round by round. The Rivendell Blade combined with the Straight Shot will automatically destroy an enemy with 0 , so you only have to defend against it once. And the same with Goblin-cleaver and the Elven Spear or the Rivendell Blade. Arod and the Black Arrow go on Legolas.
It is a fun deck to play and you will always make decisions about which cards stay in your hand, and which not.
