Seven years the Beorning Beekeepers spent gathering dust in my binder! But no longer. The Beorning archetype might not be fully formed yet, but it is already a lot of fun.

The deck struggles with questing in the first few turns (but it can swallow the threat increases if need be), but wastes not time in swallowing ennemies whole.

I purposefully didn't include A Test of Will and Hasty Stroke. Necklace of Girion is only there to try out the new shiny - it can be swapped out easily, as can the Raven-winged Helm, which aren't as efficient in this deck as they sometimes can be.

The choice of defending with Beorn or Grimbeorn the Old, and when to use the latter's ability, proved to be tactically interesting. I'm looking forward to see how this deck can evolve during the current cycle.

So many bears! I got to play a few games with your deck and had a good time. I featured it on my blog here: lotrdecktest.wordpress.com

You really made my day! I enjoyed reading your write-up, thank you for giving this deck a share of the spotlight.

I played a few more games with it, and my assessment closely matches yours. The Beorning Beekeeper remains underpowered, but a few times I've managed to cycle him in and out repeatedly using multiple Beorning Skin-changer in a single combat phase to kill enemies with a damaging engagement effect. Absolutely not the most efficient of strategies, but great fun!

Pulling Revealed in Wrath on a Mumak sound awesome! I enjoy using it also on ship enemies from the Dream-Chaser cycle to nullify the boarding keyword.

No Rivendell Blade for Glorfindel?

I get that you normally have access to attack-power from other sources, but as you say it is allready a tactical choice when to spend the resource for Grimbeorn the Old.

With Light of Valinor Glorfindel is primed and ready for a second task, and it would help you trigger Foe-hammer.

In this initial build, I figured I didn't need the extra attack power - with turned out to be true. But indeed, triggering Foe-hammer isn't as reliable as it should be, and a couple of copies of an additional weapon (Dagger of Westernesse is also a strong contender) will be included in the next version.
