Pure Series:

This is a series of about 10 decks that I made that don’t share any cards with each other. Meaning I can only use Steward of Gondor in one of my 10 decks. This forces me to use different methods of card draw and resource generation.

I do include different cards of the same unique character in different decks. (Ex. Haldir of Lórien hero in my Scout deck and Haldir of Lórien ally in my Silvan deck.)

Dale Deck:

Dale Decks focus on attaching lots of low costing attachments on as many characters as possible. It has some powerful allies/attachment combos that are fairly easy to set up.

Opening Hand:

The only card you are looking for in your opening hand is King of Dale. If you see it, keep the hand. So far I have found that every opening hand is solid. Just play attachments to cycle through your deck to the particular cards you need.

Card Draw:

Brand son of Bain is a great source of card draw, turning the 28 attachments in this deck into sources of card draw. Long Lake Fisherman lets you search for the key allies/attachments you need. Overall, you will have plenty of card draw to set you up fast.

Resources:

King of Dale gives you constant resources to play on allies every turn. I usually try to get two attachments onto the hero with King of Dale because your allies either cost 2 or 3. For Traffic from Dale I usually select Bard son of Brand because of his ability to play attachments from any color, it's recommended to wait until you would get 3 resources from Traffic from Dale (which shouldn't be hard), otherwise it's not worth it.

Combos:

Bow of Yew and Warrior of Dale. North Realm Lookout is happy with either Spare Hood and Cloak or the classic Map of Rhovanion. Spare Hood and Cloak is extremely useful on North Realm Lookout because she will always be ready. And the best part is that Long Lake Trader can move the cloak back on her every turn! I usually put Valiant Determination onto Guardian of Esgaroth because he will have so much willpower and defense, Guardian of Esgaroth also gets Armor of Erebor, Round Shield, and Squire's Helm. Hauberk of Mail wouldn't be bad on him, but is better fit for Redwater Sentry. With Long Lake Trader giving you the versatility to better arrange the attachments and get them onto the right characters. Dúnedain Remedy is the perfect way to get two attachments onto King of Dale as you can play it on one of your other heroes to draw a card and then move it over. Miruvor is really nice as it pays for itself with both the card draw and coin, basically giving you a free ready once a game.

With all the attachment ally combos you will find yourself questing for a lot through Brand son of Bain

@MustardmanCongratulations on using my favorite hero, Lanwyn! I haven't actually gotten around to building a Dale deck with her. I'll be excited to try this one out! It looks great!

@bobbymcbobface Eyyy! That's exciting! What makes her your favorite hero?

We were trekking up the slopes of mount doom. Lanwyn gave one last effort, to carry Frodo to the Crack of doom. I was solo, in my campaign. Mount Doom had 7 progress. We were up by 2 willpower. Revealed: Little Snuffler. Raised my threat to 98 from allies. Gave Lanwyn +2 willpower. Surged into: Little Snuffler. Discarded all allies. Readied Lanwyn. Surged into Heavy and Tired. After losing questing allies, I'm now tied. Halfling determination on frodo gets final 2 progress on Mount Doom. Lanwyn, currently with six total willpower (base 2, ability triggered once, favor of the lady, and rally the west), and Frodo with 6 (base 2, rally the west, halfling determination, and friend of friends) are my only two ready heroes for final fortitude test. 12 commited. First card: Wicked master! 2x Lidless Eye, 1 orc captain. 9 eyes already after 4 cards. 6 more to go. 2x Plain of gorgoroth, 1 mordor road, 1 orc hold. 11 eyes, 2 more to go. Foul fumes. 13-12 were down. Final card: Gollum! We cancel wicked master and win the campaign!!!

Anyway, I love Lanwyn's ability, especially in campaign, where ridiculous surge trains pop up all the time. But that Mount Doom finish was so epic.
