Gondor calls for aid !

And... Creatures (?) will answer !

A turbo Fellowship designed around Wolf, Fang and Grip.

Mulligan for a dog*. Then use Widfast setup ability to grab a dog (if you don't have one) or Gavin (for extra resource. Note that between Gavin and Denethor, Hirgon can gain 3 resources/round).

You will probably flip contract T2 (4 creature allies guarantied, and a lot of low-cost allies to fill the 2 last spots).

With Born Aloft, you can replay your dogs, and you will easily fetch all your creature cards. Born Aloft can also be used to flip again to side A if you want to replace one ally.

You may want to stay on side A with 8 allies in order to sneak or summon a Gandalf (with Radagast+Pipe), even 7 allies with Gwaihir and an Eagle in discard.

*or Born Aloft. May delay a bit contract, but help finding eagles. In this case you may remove Wolf from deck and everytime search him during setup.

Cool idea! In playing this against Journey along the Anduin, I found that I couldn't deal with the Troll -- I had to chump, then lost my Fellowship boost, then couldn't summon enough attack power to take it out. I think that might be a problem in a lot of quests. A few Giant Bears would help in that regard, but what's missing even more is card draw to replace allies. Since there's no , what you might try is 3x A Very Good Tale and 2-3x Stand and Fight. To make room for these 6 cards plus 2 bears, I'd drop 1x Well Warned, 1x Gwaihir's Debt, 3x Captain's Wisdom (with Gavin and Hirgon's discount, I don't think it's needed), and 3x Flight of the Eagles (only really good target is Meneldor, and you don't really want to bounce allies in a Fellowship deck).

Shoot, disregard the comment about Giant Bear -- forgot about the Fellowship ally restriction. Other suggestions still stand, maybe go for Beorn and Déorwine instead.

@kjeldfor big defense i'm considering replacing The Red Arrow with a Gondorian Shield fro Denethor.

Arwen can boost Denethor to 5 with contract, or you can sneak a Gandalf (that what i did when i played Anduin).

Déorwine is an interesting idea. My felloship is cheap but i find that i lack some defense against big ennemies. I this case i should try replacing Denthor with Sam Gamgee, for more and use of Hirgon's ability.

Here's the version I was playing around with: ringsdb.com Took down Journey along the Anduin pretty handily despite a garbage opening hand. Had a particularly fun turn when back-to-back Necromancer's Reach revealed on Stage 2 to wipe out a hero and all my allies... but Horns! Horns! Horns! and Sneak Attack Gwaihir renewed by board state to clear some enemies and saved the day.

Yeah, Necramancer's Reach was also horrible in my tests with all those 1- allies. Glad you managed to win !
