Zarthalius has a newer deck inspired by this one: The Last March of the Ents

Keeping your threat low simulates the courage and rage the Ents exhibited during their last march on Isengard. Merry and Pippin do a fantastic job at that. Inspire other fellowship parties with this same courage by way of the Song of Eärendil.

If playing solo, it would be ideal to sideboard Song of Eärendil out for better card draw.

I think adding two more copies of Treebeard would help with resources. I would take out Resourceful as you are unlikely to stay in secrecy at the right time. I would also add one more Friend of Friends. You don't have to be scared of including extra copies of cards. Even though you can only use one Silver Circlet, I think adding another is worthwhile. Lastly, Hobbit Pony is great for Merry (Especially once he gets a Fast Hitch). Nice idea!

@NERD Thanks for the feedback! I've play tested this a little on some of the earlier quests. I've always paid 4 for Resourceful so your right about not ever getting a secrecy discount. But, its never been a bother paying it even for multiples and once I do, resources have always been in surplus. But I guess that's the reason for what your saying; Same cost, x3 Resourceful is overkill, and 1 Treebeard covers all spheres with its resource so its more versatile.

I understand that extra copies is not bad; they allow for consistency. I just don't know what to do with "dead card" draws like drawing Treebeard when one is already in play. I guess Daeron's Runes would give dead cards utility. What would your recommend for dead cards?

So if I understand Hobbit Pony + Fast Hitch correctly, Merry can: reduce threat if needed, ready if exhausted, quest if needed and/or help in combat 1 or 2 times pending Fast Hitch's status? This would make sense, Merry gets the option to join combat 1 extra time (then without the pony). This also highlights the importance why Friend of Friends needs to get out fast.

i think it would make the deck more efficient, starting in secrecy. this could be achieved, using (MotK) Leaflock as enthero.

then the hobbits have to change their sphere to keep that deck. (Merry and Pippin )

if doing so and adding 3 Drinking Song (which are also great to get hobbitpipes early out) you should be able to play Resourceful in secrecy.

so or so i would increase Treebeard to 3 he is so good. if taking (MotK) Leaflock it get the benefit to take Quickbeam as ally who is one of the best ally in the game (stat-cost wise)

then either put in some Good Meal or replace The Galadhrim's Greeting with cheaper Elevenses
