A deck based around Keeping Count (KC). Early game Boromir racks up kills to get some resources on KC, using his ability to ready (once per turn) when necessary. Ideally you want a copy of KC in your opening hand, or at least Master of the Forge. Master of the forge makes it quite easy to the important attachments, including another copy of KC. Bonus point if you can play a third copy of KC across the table!

Once Argalad gets a copy of KC, with a few + he can use his ability to the fullest, without putting resources on KC. Later on he really becomes a monster, and can easily on shot enemies as they enter the staging area with Hands Upon the Bow, or quest for a ton with Grappling Hook, both of which can be used after the staging step (or just use his regular ability these are not needed).

Maybe a bit low on the ally side but so far I have not found it a problem, there is a fair amount of action advantage. Probably would have a bit of a problem with threat in some quests.

Love this deck idea! Awesome use of an unused card! I do wonder though, what's the reasoning behind Trollshaw Scout? And also, is this viable as a solo deck? Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! One reason for Trollshaw Scout is that I have a few tactics decks made at the moment and I several good allies are in those. I also like to have a way of discarding unique and situational cards from my hand. He can also machine gun with Boromir if necessary, and the deck has pretty good card draw. All that said, I probably don't need 3 copies, so another attacker might be a better fit.

The deck would probably struggle solo, early on it will have a hard time questing well, especially if a lot of locations are revealed. Also you might not see enough enemies to fuel Keeping Count to ridiculous levels. Swapping out Knife-work and some Songs of Wisdom for things that help with locations, or draw enemies would help it. Things like Wait no Longer, Asfaloth and Dúnedain Hunter would help.

Awesome, thanks!

perhaps a Rohan Warhorse for Boromir fastens the increase of Keeping Count

Its a good idea, (I didn't have any warhorses spare). In my 2 player games I didn't have so many enemies that Boromir's innate readying plus the occasional lembas were not enough.

Cool idea! Would you consider something like Dúnedain Hunter or Wait no Longer to give you some chances to force enemies?

@Mythik it is a good idea. I had suggested it earlier for making the deck more solo friendly. They should both trigger Mablung as well for an extra bonus.

I think you would be better off using Thurindir to start the game with Delay the Enemy. Argalad only works while there is a high-willpower enemy in the staging area. You would be better off with Éowyn or a weapon on Argalad. Regardless, this is a cool idea!

Thanks! I feel like Eowyn is a decent choice for most tactics decks.

Ah, whoops! Sorry missed that comment
