Birdman137 111

Birdman137 has a newer deck inspired by this one: The Hour of Hour of Wrath

The deck has one goal: use Hour of Wrath to handle combat for the entire table. It will take a few rounds to get setup so tell everyone else at the table to pick up some slack for you and you'll pay them all back in a bit.

The first critical piece for the deck is Pillars of the Kings so you can use the Valour Action on HoW. You should also be able to draw 4 cards with it since you start at 25 threat. Book of Eldacar gives you up to 6 uses of HoW. Frodo Baggins is included so you can use Good Meal (once you have Song of Battle) to discount HoW, to keep you in valour with his Response, and to give access since both PotK and Sneak Attack/Gandalf are pretty critical to the deck. Hope Rekindled can either discount HoW by 2 or fish it out of your deck. Most of the rest of the deck is attachments to boost (MotK) Legolas and Beregond, additional card draw to find all the pieces you need, and threat reduction since you're playing in valour.

I included Thorongil so Legolas can not only draw an obscene amount of cards taking down an entire table's worth of enemies, but also place a ton of progress on the quest.

I may or may not bring this deck to Con of the Rings this year. It uses a lot of the same cards as some of my other decks but the fun factor might dictate I bring it.

shadow can kick your ass, while defending the whole table. (defending char cannot count his defense, discard attachments, pure dmg...)

so would at least add Sterner than Steel and to be really secure not loosing Beregond the DĂșnedain Watcher could be a saving grace.

combo of Hope Rekindled and Hour of Wrath is nice. consider Golden Belt and a War Axe for legolas its +3 then

Yes, you are correct, the deck does need some shadow cancellation. I've added 2 copes of sterner than steel and cut 1 copy each of The Day's Rising and Thorongil.
