Any suggestion about how to thin this deck to 50ish cards?

i wouldconcentrate on creature-eagles and discard:

now 4 cars to add:

Right, more eagles and eagle support. I will try your suggestions. I like to keep secrecy cards 8n the deck, though.

secrecy and eagles are 2 mainstrategies, you cann hardly take both options to the fullest. at secrecy it makes sense take the strongest cards (Resourceful ) and leave the rest for the other strategy (eagles)

eagles with not very much eaglescards makes nearly no sense. if you want to be effective leave the Rivendell Scout out, they additionally takes the slot of a first-to-play-in planning where you otherwise would play a Unexpected Courage or a The Galadhrim's Greeting or a The Eagles Are Coming!

the secrecy-lore-events are nice to have, but i think an eagle more out or draw some is better (would be otherwise, if you play a deck with encountercontrol, oder more use of scrying)

Indeed, I have not found yet the best way to finalize this deck. I have tried it with most of your initial suggestions against Journey Along the Anduin and they work very fine. As I did not find Radagast's Staff in my starting hand, the free Rivendell Scout saved me in the first turns, so I think I will keep it. Eagles can take down a single Hill Troll without too much difficulty. In my few games, I have found that Unexpected Courage and The Galadhrim's Greeting were not useful. Radagast does not exhaust to quest, whit Strider, and he can get readied with the Contract. Threading out is not an issue and I have plenty of turns to get prepared for the Hill Troll. However, questing is the main issue of this deck. Any suggestion how to improve questing? Maybe the Hobbit Saga Gandalf is better than the original one, in this deck.

did not know you play solo. then u need no more actions on radagast (in multiplayer the courage is very wellcomed by other players ;) )

so 5-6 cards to replace with questing.

i would take 3 Galadriel's Handmaiden and if availaible 3 Rhovanion Outrider

another option would be to take some ents Wandering Ent and/or Wellinghall Preserver then you stay insphere.

a 3. option would be to try to get Faramir out, either with Elf-stone or with Song of Kings or with Sneak Attack (1. in planning) + Sword-thain or Timely Aid (and some luck)

i think i would prefer a mixture o Elf-stone and Timely Aid to get Faramir

i using Gandalf then you perhaps need the The Galadhrim's Greeting back.

Ok, I have added Rhovanion Outrider and it works pretty well. I went for the Hobbit Gandalf and the The Galadhrim's Greeting, none of them turned out ;) It was a slow but never uncertain victory (18 turns!). The Warg was a bit annoying and it took a lot of time to progress, but the enemies were killed rather quickly.

did u use Timely Aid? i use it in nearly every The Grey Wanderer deck

the more allies you have the better it is because luckily you have a choice which one you take so more chances to et gandalf if wanted)
