I wanted to build a deck that could play Coney in a Trap. Preventing enemies from attacking and killing them on the same turn seemed like a fun way to get around all sorts of nasty shadow effects.
Thurindir and Glorfindel have some willpower to try and get through the first sidequest, usually Gather Information. Once Thurindir's willpower gets boosted and the oudlands allies start hitting the board questing should be easy.
Combat usually goes as follows: keep enemies in the staging area by staying at low theart levels. Engage an easy to kill enemy and prevent it from attacking by using either Feint or Coney in a Trap, or throw a Ranger of Cardolan in front of it. Aragorn kills the enemy, hopefully drawing a card with Glamdring in the process and pulls down the next enemy. Since step 6.2 of the combat phase has already passed this new enemy does not get to attack for this turn. If you have your Rohan Warhorse equipped Aragorn can kill the second enemy (and draws another card) pulling down a third enemy. By this time Glorfindel equipped with a Legacy Blade or two can kill pretty much anything else.
Obviously not a deck for every quest since it relies on side quests and needs at least a turn or two to really get going. Things I'd like to add are Elrond's Counsel (don't have the AP) and the upcoming Thalion ally.
