Ancestral Armor is spendy at 4... so put it in free with Master Ironsmith... which also means you don't require any . However, he's also spendy at 3 without great stats... enter Hirgon.
The combo requires 2 resources from a Noble hero (or Elrond). I went with Théoden.
Once Théoden gets Snowmane, Golden Shield, and Ancestral Armor, he quests for 3 and defends with 7 and 6 . With Honour Guards, Arwen (for 8 ) and Raven-winged Helm, he's sitting well, with beefy allies backing him.
Éowyn can discard Ancestral Armor since Master Ironsmith can pluck it from the discard. (She also discards Elven-light and various Beornings if needed as Skin-changer can bring them into play, with him only costing 1 via Hirgon.)
You quest for 10-11 from the start, so Hirgon can easily do his thing. Higher starting threat, but countered with Well Warned and Double Back.
With other cards, you can do Master Ironsmith + Ancestral Armor on other heroes, but this is what first came to my mind with minimal setup, and has been quite fun.
