Marcelf 1368
Marcelf has a newer deck inspired by this one: Forth, The Two(k) Hunters!
In the new builds made possible by The Shirefolk and Drinking Song, this is the one I want to test for its fun: it's a 2 heroes deck with no ally.
The idea is to boost Frodo's willpower with Fireside Song and all the songs, and make him monstrous in combat with Golden Shield and Herugrim.
The rest of the deck is there to set up as quickly as possible and keep a very low threat:
- To lower the threat: shirefolk and Folco. Folco is discarded after being exhausted on Peace, and Thought and after using his resource. Folco's discard activates Strider on Frodo.
- To draw and have the right cards in hand: Bilbo, Peace, and Thought , Drinking Song, Daeron's Runes, and Heed the Dream.
- To manage resources: Resourceful, Love of Tales (the first on Bilbo, the second on Frodo when he has Song of Wisdom).
Once setup we can go up to 19 (22 with song of hope). And Frodo can once per turn defend at 16 (19 with song of hope) without shadow and attack at 15 (18 with song of hope).
Frodo's ability is very handy to absorb damage during the time needed to set up.
It is a deck for easy scenarios, but what a fun to play only 2 characters!
