This was my experimental attempt at going all in with the mining archetype featuring the new heroes Dáin Ironfoot and Thorin Stonehelm (experimental mostly because of its extremely high starting threat, not necessarily the deck list itself). The first couple of rounds are the stickiest to get through, but once you get the mining engine going, this deck turns out to be rather strong. Since Dáin Ironfoot and Thorin Stonehelm have combat handled pretty well right out of the gate, questing is the first thing you really need to work to establish (even before threat). Ethir Swordsman does a long way towards helping in that regard.
The main goal of the deck is to reap the most advantage possible out of the mining archetype, by utilizing the downright amazing mining abilities inherent in your starting hero lineup. Gandalf does a great job setting up your discards, so mulligan for Wizard Pipe. Striking Hidden Cache, especially combined with a Zigil Miner, is still pretty fun, and while the Ered Luin Miner isn't otherwise a great ally, playing him for free (sometimes during combat if activating one of your hero's abilities) certainly makes him worthwhile in this deck. With all the extra money going around, you can afford some of your better allies in the form of Azain Silverbeard and Longbeard Sentry and lower your threat by significant amounts with The Galadhrim's Greeting. Three copies each of Dwarf Pipe and Will of the West help ensure you don't burn your deck too fast and recycle your important pieces like The Galadhrim's Greeting and Hidden Cache. It's not uncommon when playing this deck that I cycle through practically my entire deck at least twice.
It probably won't beat every quest (though I can't say I've tried), but this deck packs a lot of power once it gets going and is a fun way to play with the dwarven mining archetype in its most thematic form.
