Schrodingers Hat 54

This deck came about because there were so few Erestor decks published when I looked for some Noldor inspiration.

The main idea is to draw as many cards in the resource phase as possible (this draws 5, one of which you discard) and use Arwen Undómiel to help pay for them. There is a companion deck - The Bear Wall - which provides the combat power this deck lacks, while this one covers questing and healing. It's not a complete slouch in combat though, with Glorfindel, Guardian of Rivendell, and Erestor with a A Burning Brand and Protector of Lórien all able to do some work.

The Silver Harps are there to save cards like A Test of Will from round to round. The harps are really the only thing worth using a mulligan for, though remember you'll see 11 cards in the first round anyway. The first Unexpected Courage goes on Círdan the Shipwright to power Narya while still questing. You'll usually use Narya on allies in the other deck to get maximum use out of their Sentinel and Ranged abilities.

Careful readers will notice this is an Arwen Undómiel deck with no Elven-light. What?! Yep, this deck has so much draw that one of the best draw effects in the game is overkill. The first version included Elven-light but I literally never triggered it.

Due to Arwen Undómiel's ability, most cards can be played the turn they are drawn. The exceptions are Glorfindel (who you can just chuck to the discard and play whenever), Gandalf, and Elrond. Its worth keeping a resource on Erestor so that Elrond can be played when he turns up.

The threat is on the high side at 31, but between the two decks they can drop 135 points of threat over the course of a game, so it's not too big of a concern.

The deck is still a little rough around the edges, but it is 5 from 6 wins so far (JAtA and first four Angmar Awakened quests beaten). The one loss came after a mistake let Erestor get injured and then got hit with Cold From Angmar, which stopped the whole deck from functioning.
