Card Talk 1182

Card Talk has a newer deck inspired by this one: The Dain and the Discard

This is a take on the Dwarf mining deck using the relatively new hero, Dáin Ironfoot.

This isn't a hard deck to pilot, but it sure is fun and makes me want to broaden my own use of Gandalf and his attachments.

The hope is to use the mining mechanic to get out as many attachments as possible, using Gandalf instead of Imladris Stargazer to help with the mining mechanic.

Things to look out for:

Obviously all of Gandalf's toys can only go on him, but the other attachments are designed to go on to the dwarf heroes using a recycled set of Well-Equipped.

Steward of Gondor seems to work best on Dáin Ironfoot.

Unexpected Courage can vary depending on the quest. It works nicely on Glóin if you need to quest a bunch, or very nicely on Gandalf or Dáin Ironfoot if you need extra defenses or attacks. Keep in mind that both Shadowfax and Ring of Thrór act as readying for heros.

The Erebor Toymaker's ability is great, but it's also nice to have a 2 dwarf in that only cost 2 and fits nicely into the mechanic of the deck.

The Ring of Barahir is in the deck not because it's required, but because I love to add one card that is just fun to play. If you play the Ring on to Gandalf, and he is equipped with all his toys, he ends up with and extra 3 hit points. If there are quests with artifacts as objectives like The Ghost of Framsburg, you can boost his hit points even higher.

This is the first version of this deck and as I update it and improve it, I'll post the list here.

Also, feel free to comment on the deck to give ideas!
