I found that playing 2 handed on this quest makes it significantly easier which is a recommendation that Vision of the Palantir recommended and I initially ignored. For a minimum purchase fellowship check this one out that beat Three Trials on the first attempt https://ringsdb.com/fellowship/view/8183.
Took out The Wizards's Voice and Hasty Stroke because they tended to sit and clog up my hand. I really wanted them for end game but because of delay strategy for stage 1 needed more allies that helpful earlier.
Added Saruman to hopefully bypass some location effects that affect all the Forest locations. Also 5 attack should help take down guardians.
Added Northern Tracker and Greyflood Wanderer because Eowyn tends to build up lots of resources. Also if Aragorn gets CelebrÃan's Stone then he has more than enough resources for both leadership and spirit.
