Since I haven't seen a deck on RingsDB that uses South Away!'s threat reduction optimized I made this deck. This deck is only playable in multiplayer and every other deck doesn't have to run any threat reduction and not a lot of card draw and resource acceleration cards.

So the idea of this deck is get as many attachments on one location as possible, and then use South Away to lower everyone's threat. Mulligan for Dunedain Pathfinder, Mithril Shirt or Stone of Elostirion to guarantee a turn one location. There is a lot of card draw in the deck to make the deck run fast. Once you have a South Away! and Thror's Map to get the location back you can start lowering everyone's threat by a lot and as long as you get another South Away you can repeat this process until threat will no longer be an issue. Because you almost never want to explore the big location Erestor is way better than Haldan.

  • If you have Thrór's Key, you should play it first.

  • The best location attachments to get are Explorer's Almanac and Guarded Ceaselessly.

  • If you don't have Thror's Map you can sometimes get your location back by playing West Road Traveller, Heed the Dream to get the Traveller, or Stand and Fight to get the Traveller. Since it is multiplayer there should always be a location to switch.

  • Some location attachments have some limitations as to where they can go on.

  • Another deck with Haldan and some more location attachments could make it work even better.

All the doomed cards might bring the threat really high before you can lower it, so watch out for that. Also no northern tracker in any other deck because it can ruin your location. If any other player is running lore, it is a good idea for them to run Mirkwood Hunter and/or Forest Road Traveler, which can do a lot at the right moment.

If no one is using the One Ring it is in the sideboard. Helm of Secrecy can be useful on Erestor if his fast card draw isn't necessary anymore.
