Intro: I've tried to improve a deck based on Elladan and Elrohir and from my previous version made it 3 sphere by adding Glorfindel. It's definitely an improvement, however not recommended for the Dwarrowdelf cycle.
Strength:
- With a spare resource Elladan and Elrohir can deal with most of the enemies.
- Very balanced deck, able to bring cards, resources and keeping the threat down, the only missing skill is healing.
Weakness:
- Low quest progress in early game stage
- The deck have strong emphasis on gearing up heroes with attachments, and keeping them fighting. One nasty shadow card can destroy the whole game.
Best Combo/Cards:
- Elladan empowered with Rivendell Blade, Dúnedain Mark made him extremely deadly.
- Light of Valinor was extremely helpful, in longer games I was able to attach it to 2 heroes.
- Elrond's Counsel became in my 3 sphere decks a perfect way to replace The Galadhrim's Greeting
- Arwen Undómiel was crucial in getting more
- The usual core set cards like Steward of Gondor, Quick Strike, Feint,...
Medium/Low Cards:
- all cards worked fine.
Final Thoughts: Many of my decks were struggling with the Khazad - dum scenarios, but with this deck it was fine. The Dwarrowdelf cycle got 2 scenarios that use an Arwen unique hero, which put Arwen Undómiel out of play, plus the nasty shadow cards put Elrohir into great risk. I did not tested it, but I'm sure that for the Shadows of Mirkwood cycle it would work great.
Quest log:
Khazad-dum
- Into the Pit - Score:108
- The Seventh Level - Score:118
- Flight from Moria - Score:165
Looks like a fun deck! Just a heads up, Light of Valinor is unique so can only go on one hero.
