This deck is meant to be paired with a support deck that churns out the appropriate toys for Aragorn and Theoden. The support deck is a hobbit deck, so this deck has 2 copies of Halfling Determination to boost the little hobbits if needed.

The hobbit deck provides good base questing but is mostly ally-free, so the marginal questing is to come from this deck. This can come from getting attachments on Aragorn and Théoden to help them quest and fight (Snowmane, Wingfoot), or getting out Faramir or Sword that was Broken eventually. Until then, there's a number of 2 wp allies who can be used for questing as well as combat.

Theoden will eventually be the prime defender, and when the new Golden Shield comes out it should be in the deck. Until then, Dori will help as needed, backed by the assortment of armour and damage preventers here.

I like to look for Support of the Eagles in my first hand, not because I would play it then (wait for the eagles to come out), but because it is a massive boost to offense or defense (your choice) when eagles come out -- just a lone Vassal of the Windlord and a lone Winged Guardian gives you a choice of +3 or +4. It's also not unique and not limited to one per hero, so you can truly get superhuman with it.

The sideboard is limited, just Westfold Outrider for annoying can't engage enemies, and Arod for a little location control.
