The best defense is a good offense. And the best offense takes the enemy out before they even get a chance to engage!

Our hero lineup features Haldir of Lórien and Dúnhere in starring roles, who will eliminate the enemy before they leave the staging area. Merry is our Tactics splash hero, who will pay for our weapons and contribute to a starting threat of 23. A low threat level is crucial to give Haldir of Lórien and Dúnhere enough buffer to keep enemies out of play.

To maintain low threat, we have Galadriel's Handmaiden, Gandalf and Elrond's Counsel (although we'll have to find and save for Lindir to meet Elrond's Counsel prerequisites). If your threat starts to creep up, Robin Smallburrow can occasionally stave off a close engagement checks with his Travel Response.

This deck has a ton of card draw to find our key pieces: Gléowine, Ancient Mathom, Foe-hammer, Daeron's Runes, and Heed the Dream. Even Gandalf and Lindir can help in a pinch.

If an enemy somehow slips past our heroes, a well-timed Feint or Quick Strike is our best defense.

While this deck is fun to play and can generally hold its own in solo against a number of quests, it generally shines best in a support role. But give it a whirl against Journey Down the Anduín and have a good laugh while wasting the pathetic Hill Trolls and inept Goblin Snipers in the staging area.

Happy hunting!</b

Nice deck. A cheaper option than Lindir to allow to play Elrond's Counsel would be Elf-friend. I would consider adding maybe some Lembas

Thanks @Alonewolf87, Elf-friend would be a GREAT add. I haven’t found the need for readying in this deck, but Lembas couldn’t hurt.
